  1.     To enter products for your electronic catalog select 
  2. Product Entry from the Catalog pulldown menu.  Be certain you 
  3. have defined the categories prior to entering your product 
  4. descriptions.
  5.  
  6.     The product entries are entered from the editor at the 
  7. "Product Entry" selection.  Several products may be entered at 
  8. one time.  The format for entering products is :
  9.  
  10. >[product name 1] $[price 1]
  11.  [description 1]
  12. >[product name 2] $[price 2]
  13.  [description 2]
  14. >[product name 3] $[price 3]
  15.  [description 3]
  16.  .
  17.  .
  18.  .

  20.  
  21.      Note that each product name is preceded by a ">" character.

  23. Also make certain that the price is preceded by a "$" character.

  26.     A software company may enter products as follows :

  29. >Electronic Catalog Construction Kit (DOS)    $45
  30.     The Kit allows users to create their own interactive text 
  31. electronic catalog.  The catalogs created allow the customer to 
  32. choose the items that he desires and at the same time see a the 
  33. total price of the items that he is chosen.  At the touch of a 
  34. button the customer can see a detailed description of the product. 
  35.  
  36. At the touch of another button he can print a complete invoice 
  37. with tax and shipping charges included.  Registered users can 
  38. freely distribute catalogs created with the kit just as they 
  39. would distribute their own paper catalogs.

  41. >Electronic Catalog Construction Kit (Windows)     $80
  42.     Same as above except the user can incorporate graphics 
  43. into his catalog.  (Requires MicroSoft Windows TM)

  45. >Electronic Catalog Construction Kit (OS/2)    $80
  46.     Same as above except that catalogs can be generated for 
  47. DOS, Windows and OS/2 presentation manager.

  49. >Electronic Catalog Order Logger (DOS)        $200 
  50.     The order logger is used in conjunction with a special 
  51. version of the electronic catalog.  Each electronic catalog 
  52. contains modem support.  At the touch of a button a customer's 
  53. order is sent to the vendors computer via modem. The order 
  54. logger records the orders and allows the vendor to access 
  55. this information in an easy to use fashion.

  58.     Same as above but is used with (OS/2)

  61.     If you wish to enter a product number then that should be 
  62. entered on the same line as the short description and price e.g.

  68.     You wish to delete or revise a product while it is still 
  69. shown in the Product Entry popup editor; otherwise you must select 
  70. Catalog\Revise popup menu for a listing of products for a 
  71. particular category.  Once the products are listed you may press 
  72. the Delete key to mark or unmark items for deletion.
